adidas Samba Wales Bonner Silver – G8181

Sat atop a dark brown rubber sole is a shimmery silver leather, taking the icon down an unfamiliar path. The 3-Stripes on the side wall are presented in a crocheted-like fashion, similar to the tooling we saw on Bonner’s “Core Black” Samba edition from 2021. The heel tab and laces also adopt the beige tones that we have grown to expect from Bonner’s library of colours, used on the previous “Orange Ecru” and “Cream green” editions. These leather accents ground the pair’s shiny profile and instead lean towards the Wales Bonner aesthetic. Co-branding can be spotted on the lateral quarter, a simple font bearing the brand’s wordmark in a matching cream. Unlike the previous collection, the extended tongue returns, folding over the laces as a nod to the Samba’s footballing heritage.
